The proposed new Beckwourth Peak Fire Protection District would be funded via three main funding mechanisms:

• New Special Tax – A voter-approved annual special tax to be included on the property tax bill. Most residential properties would pay $110 annually. • Secured a tax-sharing agreement with Plumas County Board of Supervisors to receive a portion of monies collected from property taxes.
